Junkers F-13

Mainz-Finthen 06.September 2026 The original Junkers F13 (First flight: 1919) was the first all-metal transport aircraft ever built. Since 2016, a couple of replicas have taken to the air – bulit as close to the originals as possible. Three of them are operated by ‚Verein Junkers Luftverkehr‘ and based out of Switzerland under Swiss registration. I had the chance to take some photos of ‚HB-RIO‘ during the ‚Fliegerfest‘ at Mainz-Finthen airfield.
